of Travel Documents
1. The Consulate can issue a Travel Document to assist any
Paraguayan (natural or naturalized) who wants to return to
Paraguay and that for some reason cannot obtain a valid Paraguayan
Passport in time for the trip.
2. The applicant must personally appear
at the Consulate; this requirement will be waived only in
some duly justified cases. The applicant must present to the
Consulate the following documents:
- Paraguayan Passport expired or Civil Identity Card (photocopies
may be accepted if the original is lost). If the Passport
was reported missing, the applicant must present a copy of
the police report. The Consulate reserves the right to verify
identity in all cases.
- Two (2) passport size pictures.
- Fee of US$ 25.00: cash or money order payable to Consulate
of Paraguay.
- Two (2) Travel Document application form: one signed original
and one copy, complete in blue ink only the required fingerprints,
sign and date in the second page. Do not complete the space
reserved for remarks and for use of the Consulate.
- Minors under 18 years old cannot sign the application form.
The parents or Tutor should appear in person and sign at the
Consulate, but absent parents can present a Minor Permit from
Paraguay or a notarized travel authorization. Parents must
present two (2) copies of the following documents: parent’s
passports (or valid ID), minor’s birth certificate,
legal custody document (if applicable).
- A pre-paid return envelope, in case the Travel Document
needs to be returned by mail or courier.
